It was an incredible honor to photograph Kristy Bolaños as she prepared to compete for Miss Universe San Carlos – La Fortuna, Costa Rica — and even more meaningful to witness her crowned as the 2026 titleholder.

On February 20, 2026, Kristy was crowned Miss Universe San Carlos, officially advancing to represent her region at the national Miss Universe Costa Rica Competition.
Now, we begin a new collaboration — a series of images set against the iconic landscapes of San Carlos, including La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano, celebrating both the queen and the region she represents.
